up in baltimore. 59 hagueerstown. tappahannock 51 and culpeper 52 degrees. outside on our michael & son weather cam, looking at wisconsin avenue. a nice quiet, dry morning. we've been doing this all week. 63 officially at reagan national under clear skies with calm winds. remember a couple of mornings ago we were in the low 40s. yesterday the 50s. today the upper 50s. we're getting a little more moisture and that's one of the reasons we're seeing a little bit of fog. our weather headlines, another great day. it's been a nice stretch. there could be a late shower west tomorrow and even saturday morning we may see an isolated shower coming through with the front. but for the most part it's going to be a nice looking weekend. temperatures upper 70s. and rain chances will increase early next week but i think tuesday will be the wettest day ahead of another cold front that will come through here later on tuesday. looking at the satellite and radar across the country, look at this rain stretched down from texas all the way up into wisconsin and southeast minnesota

baltimore is not alone in this. we have become two americas in some fundamental and economic ways but baltimore has its strengths and its weaknesses, much like new orleans. if there is a difference, in new orleans you can make statements about culture and its affect on community and the relationship between community and culture because the culture is out in the street. it's visual. it can be heard. it manifests itself in some very vibrant ways, it can carry a tune in the way baltimore can't. the same dynamic is going on in both places. these cities are trying to find their way and they're doing so on their own terms. a lot of our popular culture comes to us from los angeles and new york and our political culture from d.c. these are very artificial environments. the rest of the country is an urban environment or we're all clustered around metro regions but they don't have things as artificial as new york is the financial center or the entertainment hub that is los angeles or the government hub that is washington. th

how about back here in baltimore. more sun as well and again all across maryland today it was a beautiful kind of day. no question about that. tonight very nice. 60 degrees. humidity at 80% but the dew point number 54. moisture in the area comfortable. increased cloud cover. about 11:00, clouds roll in. tomorrow evening we could see showers in western maryland but the project is for those to fizzle out. i just have a feeling that nothing more than a stray shower or two tomorrow night. then into saturday, conditions look clear and pleasant. in the big picture, fairly impressive line of sures from michigan back down through oklahoma. large frontal boundary. we get those a lot in september. a chance, certainly on saturday as breezy conditions move in but i think we will top out in the upper 70's and same deal on sunday. so light breezes around but i think great weather if you happen to be headed up i-95, let's talk about it. the eagles game with the ravens, unusual match up we will take it. 70 with sun. a kickoff of 1:00

we have a lot of rain in baltimore. baltimore county was hit very hard. the delmarva with more rain today. here's where our rain is coming from in culpepper county and western portions of falkir county. and this rain is making its way our way. we'll see rain overnight and some areas will see heavy rain. it will be moving through here. so maybe tomorrow morning around rush hour we may begin to dry out a little bit. but i expect to see wet roadways and expect to see fog in some locations. give yourself some extra time. the remnants of isaac are spinning off to the west here. look at all the moisture in the south in the carolinas and alabama and georgia and florida and all the moisture moving up the east coast. that's why we see a good chance for rain tomorrow and wednesday. here's the remnants of isaac with shower activity ahead of it. on tuesday still seeing shower activity and rain. isaac is making its way out and a cold front is continuing the moisture surge up from the south. so once again any of the showers will produce heavy rain of 1 to 2 inches per
